Today I continued the trip. Now on the sledge, pulled by the six dogs Riddu, Halny, Ronja, Bris, Kuling and Storm. First over the fjord ice, then a bit more tricky through the moraine to get up on the glacier. We slowly worked our way up, the weather was beautiful so I needed to stop quite often so the dogs could cool down a bit. After some hours we came around a mountainside and suddenly the view down on the east coast opened up. I was not sure what I would see, any ice? We need ice to be able to continue south, and as far I could see there was ice, but some kilometers out I could see open sea. Along the east coast most of the polar bears are, so I might see some of those. Today I saw some old tracks. We stopped and I put the tent just before we reached the ice. It was a lovely evening. Great fun going with the sledgedogs, goes a bit faster compared with skiing.
