2011-05-06 Moränmassor
The clouds were covering the sky in the morning and the temperature was back up just below 0°C. Today we mainly followed valleys, not climbing any glaciers.
At a distance we saw the small and very long haired Svalbard reindeer, the dogs were very excited of them and pulled hard to get a closer look at the deers.
We passed the fronts of glaciers coming down along the sides of the valleys. Some glaciers ended with smaller amounts of moraine, others had through the years brought with them huge amounts of gravel and stones and it was a bit tricky to get passed those big moraines as there wasn't very much snow.
In the evening I fell asleep to the sound of the grouse chatting away just by the tent.
