2011-05-04 Massor av sol och snö!
Finally beautiful weather!
With the wet conditions and then the temperature quickly changing, from around 0°C to -15°C, all equipment had frozen - from webbings and cord on the tent to carabines and the pulkas. So a bit of work to get things working again. From the last days of snowing it was 5-10 cm light cold snow on top and under that 15-20 cm heavier snow. Today started uphill and it is hard to explain how extremely hard work it was, the first one km took one hour. But the views, they were breathtaking, so beautiful!
After 5,5 hours it was time for lunch, I was exhausted and we ended up in the tent, having lunch and sleeping a couple of hours. In the sunny weather the solar panel was doing a good job charging batteries, well needed.
In the evening we continued skiing, now the snow had started to harden up so it was a bit easier to move forward. Huge glaciers and mountains in all directions and the lovely sun, it was a very nice evening! After a day of what can be described as a 9,5 h tough workout at the gym, it was so good to get in the sleeping bag and lay down.
