The missing camera
I woke up early this morning, but still rain-snowing outside and windy. A couple of hours later the weather improved and we got going. The sun started to break through the clouds and it was beautiful, took some height and started to get nice views over Wijdefjorden. I reached to get my pocket camera, but where was it? Not where it shoul be! An intense seach through the backpack started, but the camera was not to be found. I had used it this morning... Must have dropped it somewhere along the way. Turn back or just leave it? It could be 2 minutes - 2 hours back. We turned around, I was a bit frustrated with myself! After 50 minutes I found it in the snow, 1 h 45 min, 8 km later we were back where the seach started.
There was a big halo around the sun now... We came down to the fjord ice and saw the first polar bear tracks for the trip. We had to cross a small bay on the ice and i noticed that the ice was quite wet. During the evening the wind picked up again, 15-20 m/s and a terrible rain started...
