2011-04-28 Full fart över fjordisen
After an hour of zick-zacking between stones and rocks we got down to Wijdefjorden, now with snowcovered thick ice. The temperature was just below 0°C, no wind and during the day the clouds slowly became thinner and finally disappeared. Wonderful !
A bit of snowing last night, so it was easy to see who had crossed the ice the last hours. Quite a lot of pawprints from the little arctic fox and in one place some different sets of big polarbear tracks crossed our way. Seals were resting on the ice, impossible to get close to. Ronja and Bris amused themselves seaching for snowcovered sealholes in the ice. Quite a lot of those around!
It was a beautiful evening, I enjoyed the midnight sun, it is something special with that light!
